Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this location. Near Hawk Pond you find the Old Country Road which is a glorious hiking trail. Lakes? Sure, Lovewell Pond is nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Radisson Hotel Nashua is a glorious place to get some rest, and glide down the rapids of Merrimack River in a kayak. Throughout the warm       days of summer at Hawk Pond highs are frequently in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's; after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Hawk Pond descend into the 10's. There is a pleasant hiking trail near Hawk Pond called the Mitchell Hill Road, and Hawk Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Minuteman KOA is a great local campground. Lower Massapoag Pond is                  a good lake near Hawk Pond. There's so much to do here at Hawk Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Boston Minuteman Campground is a splendid location for that. Man, is there a heap of amusing stuff to do right next door to Hawk Pond. McIntyre is a very popular ski area in close proximity; paddling on Assabet River is so much fun. Hawk Pond is a quite wet place regularly with a lot of rain; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is September. This lake is so wonderful. An afternoon playing golf at Overlook Golf Club is always a pleasure, and a swamp like Hauk Swamp near Hawk Pond has lots of interesting things to see.
