Some of the water nearby flows, like Mohawk Brook, and hey, Gotta ski right? Ski Butternut is a good place to do that. An average amount of precipitation falls at Hatch Pond; the wettest month of the year is generally July, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. This lake is so wonderful. Get drenched paddling on Bash Bish Brook, and Bowkers Woods is a perfect local forest. The Elbow Trail offers

Hiking is a popular thing to do around Hatch Pond; Wild Cat Trail is a wonderful local trail, and whitewater paddling is tremendous on Konkapot Brook. You could also have a look at Mohawk Lake if you're here at Hatch Pond; it's nearby, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Pittsfield here. Half Moon is a wonderful spot to camp. Glendale Dam is worth visiting since you're here, and Woodland Hills Campground is a splendid campground nearby. If you have a thing about the outdoors, you'll adore Hatch Pond. You get a great
panorama of Dunbar Hill from Hatch Pond, and Hatch Pond is right by the Taconic Skyline Trail. If you need a place to stay Stockbridge Country Inn is a delightful choice. Through the summer months here at Hatch Pond, high temperatures
mostly get into the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 60's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Hatch Pond tend to be in the 10's.
