You'll need more than a day to explore everything Hastings Pond has to offer, you can camp at Wagon wheel Camping Area. This lake is so wonderful. Gales Pond Dam is a beautiful place in the neighborhood of Hastings       Pond; Hastings Pond is a magnificent place to camp, Wagonwheel Campground is a magnificent place. All the water falling down from the sky makes Hastings Pond a wet place; May is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff at Hastings Pond. This is a popular site for people from Keene, and don't leave Hastings Pond without first going for a hike along                  the Sunrise Trail. Black Brook is in close proximity to Hastings Pond and is always a diversion to stop by, and the top of Barber Hill is easily seen from Hastings Pond. Lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Gales Pond close to Hastings Pond, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Millers River. A day on the slopes of Living Memorial Park is just what you need, and you can go for a hike on the Marlboro Trail. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Hastings Pond with overnight lows in the 50's. For the period of the winter highs are usually in the 30's; winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Hastings Pond.
