You can run the rapids of Green River right next door to Harmon Pond, and if you need a site to stay Howard Johnson Williamstown is a brilliant choice. From Harmon Pond you get a splendid panorama of Bee Hill, and there's great hiking along the Williams Trail. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Harmon Pond is not far at all from Pittsfield.

The skiing at Mount Greylock Ski Club is great; as expected Birch Brook is a scenic stream that is worth stopping at. in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the winter are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Harmon Pond. This lake
is so wonderful. Put some time aside to spend at Waubeeka Spring while you're here at Harmon Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Orchards Hotel. The Hopper Trail offers hiking at its best, and a great spot for whitewater paddling is Walloomsac River.
