    If you are in this part of Massachusetts make sure to pay a visit to Hammond Pond. If you go for the outdoors, you'll go for Hammond Pond. Camping is available at Peppermint Park Camping Resort, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Swift River. If you need a place to stay Autumn Inn is a pleasant choice, and great skiing awaits you at Blandford. Hammond Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; November is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month  
   of the year is February.
The Hotel Northampton is a magnificent place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful. There are some tremendous whitewater spots on Westfield River - North Branch, and Fisk Meadow is a delightful spot to check out. For the duration of the days of summer highs here at Hammond Pond get into the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. Highs through the winter are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Hammond Pond
 
               dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights.
You can never get enough of the great skiing at Berkshire East, and at Hammond Pond you always meet someone from Springfield. Going for a hike along the Link Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and on a wonderful day you can visit Dead Swamp, a swamp in close proximity to Hammond Pond. Getting to Dresser Brook from Hammond Pond is uncomplicated, and Hammond Pond is not the only place close by, Damon Pond is a close by lake.
This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. You could also pop by Highland Lakes since you're here at Hammond Pond; it's nearby, and the top of Bofat Hill is easily distinguished from Hammond Pond. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Richard Trail, and Highland Lakes Lower Lake Dam has good water scenery. This lake is so wonderful. Take a hike on the Spring Trail; a great location to camp here at Hammond Pond is Berkshire Park Camping Area.
