Everybody close by loves skiing at Blandford, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Spring Trail. A lake nearby is Plainfield Pond, and let's not forget Basin Brook which is a stream that you may run into while you're here. Just can't get enough of Hallockville Pond. There's always Hallockville Pond Dam       to take a look at next to Hallockville Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A tour to Moody Spring will fill your spirit with great feelings, and you can have a great hiking adventure along the Busby Trail. Hallockville Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Peppermint Park Camping Resort is a good local campground; dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn BERKSHIRES. But wait, there's more to do in the vicinity of Hallockville Pond. A splendid location                  to camp here at Hallockville Pond is Shady Pines Campground, and the skiing at Berkshire East is great. You can run the rapids of Westfield River - North Branch right next door to Hallockville Pond, and hiking along the Dunbar Brook Trail is tremendous fun. From a precipitation point of view Hallockville Pond is a rather common place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. All through the summertime at Hallockville Pond highs are commonly in the 70's. Through the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's, and night lows during the winter for Hallockville Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful.
