What a nice lake Halfway Pond is. Mud Pond is a splendid lake right next door to Halfway Pond, and in the event that you don't mind getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - West Branch. Throughout the long summer days, highs generally are in the 70's at Halfway Pond while nighttime lows are commonly in the 50's. Daytime highs through the wintertime are in the 20's; overnight lows all through the winter for Halfway

| | Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A great location to camp here at Halfway Pond is Bissellville Campground; if you're interested in hydro structures, you can explore Leahy Upper Reservoir Dam.

and camping at Maple Glade Campground is always a good experience. Bousquet has nice slopes and a friendly staff, and a splendid nearby hotel is Lee Super 8 Motel.
Man, is there lots of fun stuff to do near Halfway Pond. Really
fine skiing awaits you at Catamount, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not check out Ashley Lake. The sight of Dewey Hill from Halfway Pond is pretty, and Pilgrim Inn is a great place to get some rest. This lake is so wonderful.
While you're here at Halfway Pond you can take a hike along the Wild Cat Trail; Konkapot Brook is a great whitewater spot nearby.
Halfway Pond is a wet place that gets much precipitation; the month of June is the wettest with
most of the rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. If only every spot had this much outdoors exciting things, what a great earth it would be. On a delightful day at Halfway Pond you can take a hike along the Turner Trail.
