Catamount is a very popular ski area in the vicinity, and most likely you're looking for close by lakes? Sure, Felton Lake is just a very short distance away. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors amusing things the area close to Halfway Pond has to offer. Going for a hike on the Wild Cat Trail is always a splendid adventure; if you come at the right time of year, Farmington River - West Branch offers some nice whitewater. during the wintertime usually drop into the 10's. Go for a hike on the Turner Trail; you can stay the night at Maple Glade Campground. And that's not all you can do here at Halfway Pond. Dewey Hill is easy to spot from Halfway Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Greenock Country Club. There's so much to do here at Halfway Pond that you need to camp here for a while,
Bissellville Campground is a perfect spot for that, and an exciting thing to explore right next door to Halfway Pond is Leahy Upper Reservoir Dam. Soar down the rapids of Konkapot Brook in a kayak, and a nice nearby hotel is Super
8 Lee/Berkshires/Outlet Area. This lake is so wonderful. Head up to Bousquet and strap some skis to your feet, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Pittsfield here.
