This lake is so wonderful. Near Hackett Pond you hit upon a golf course called Rockland Golf Course, and why not camp at Robins Pond Camp Ground while you're here at Hackett Pond. Hackett Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during November this area sees the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. Swamps don’t sound that nice but Hell Swamp near Hackett       Pond is rather nice; Walnut Hill can be seen from Hackett Pond. At Hackett Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Hackett Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.
