    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Massachusetts you can check out Hackett Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Near Hackett Pond you hit upon a golf course called Rockland Golf Course, and why not camp at Robins Pond Camp Ground while you're here at Hackett Pond. Hackett Pond sees pretty high levels of rainfall; during November this area sees the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. Swamps don’t sound that nice but Hell Swamp near Hackett  
   Pond is rather nice; Walnut Hill can be seen from Hackett Pond.
At Hackett Pond through the summertime months highs are in the 80's; the nighttime is slightly cooler of course, commonly in the 60's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Hackett Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights.                is a brilliant choice, and a lake nearby is Forge Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Best Western Rockland, and fine skiing awaits you at Blue Hills.
Paddling on Cohasset Tidal Rip is so much fun. Lots of folks from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy come to Hackett Pond; camping is available at Norwell Campsites. The scenery at Hackett Pond Dam near Hackett Pond is picturesque, and Shinglemill Pond is a nearby lake that you could stop at.
All our national parks are good places to visit, and Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is no exception, and hey, Ben Mann Brook is a perfect local stream.

Looks like it's still a beautiful place to take a vacation....I have been going to Ellis Haven for 50 years. It is definately one of my favorite campgrounds. It is very family oriented and extremely clean. The pond is fabulous for swimming and great for fishing too....

I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out....
