Do stop by Grotto Pond while you're in this part of Massachusetts. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Westfield, and you get a fine sight of Dry Hill from here. Looking for something in close proximity to Grotto Pond? Damon Pond is nearby; a day on the slopes of Berkshire East is just what you need. Why not visit close by Chauncey Brook while you're here at Grotto Pond; camping at Windy Acres Campground is always a glorious experience.

| | The snow is glorious at Blandford, and Indian Hollow is close at hand, and is a great site. High temperatures at Grotto Pond through the warm days of summer are in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Grotto Pond dipping down into the 0's during winter nights. You're sure to bump into some fine folks from Springfield here.

to camp Berkshire Park Camping Area is a nice place to do that. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Elm Motel is a good place to spend a night or two, and there's good hiking along the Link Trail. Having a great time
at Grotto Pond is uncomplicated. Don't leave Grotto Pond without first going for a hike along the Spring Trail; paddling on Westfield River - North Branch is so much fun.
Grotto Pond is a wet place that gets a good deal of precipitation; the month of May is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is January.
