Lakes? Sure, Quag Pond is nearby, and Greenwood Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Howe's Camping is a good local campground. Take a hike on the Wapack Trail. There's so much to do here at Greenwood Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Plaza Court Motel and Campgrounds is a pleasant place for that. Why not pop by a swamp like       Cedar Swamp while you're here at Greenwood Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Colonial Hotel. Greenwood Pond gets much water; the month with most of the rain is August, and the driest month is February. Have a great hiking adventure along the Harling Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Murdock Pond is a glorious lake in the neighborhood of Greenwood Pond, and Wachusett Mountain is a very popular ski area in the vicinity.
