    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Massachusetts you can check out Greenville Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There is a wonderful hiking trail in the neighborhood of Greenville Pond called the Border Trail, and why not a little side tour to Bartons Brook. Near Greenville Pond you find the Walkabout Trail which is a tremendous hiking trail, and not far from Greenville Pond you'll discover Rochdale Pond which is a picturesque lake.
If you're a
 
   golfer then a good nearby course is Hillcrest Country Club, and after a long day outdoors Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Worcester Auburn is a pleasant location to spend a night or two. During the days of summer at Greenville Pond highs are commonly in the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. All through the winter highs are in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Greenville Pond. Not far from Greenville Pond you obtain some tremendous  
               water scenery at Greenville Pond Dam, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Auburn.
Lakes are perfect; Clarks Mill Pond is a lake that's right next door to Greenville Pond; Greenville Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Wood Lot Campground is a great local campground. Visiting Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is just something you need to do if you haven't yet, and a swamp like Great Cedar Swamp right next door to Greenville Pond has lots of out of the ordinary things to see. This lake is so wonderful. A day on the slopes of Wachusett Mountain is just what you need, and if you're popping by from Worcester, you won't be the only one.
Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. The Munyan Trail is a great hiking trail near Greenville Pond, and the skiing at Pine Ridge is tremendous. Now, you may imagine that's lots but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Greenville Pond. From Greenville Pond you acquire a great view of Ballard Hill, and camping at The Woodlot Campground is always a nice experience. Greenville Pond commonly gets much rainfall; all through the month of May you get the most rain around here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
