Great Pond is a lake worth visiting. Camping at Rainbow Motel is always a fine experience, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Deerfield River. You're most likely keen on lakes, Lake Warner is one of those nearby; Connecticut River is a delightful whitewater spot nearby. A great deal of precipitation falls at Great Pond; all through November this area sees the most rain, and February is the month
   with the least moisture.
A splendid nearby hotel is Scottish Inns Hatfield, and beaches are magnificent and Sandy Beach is no exception. High temperatures at Great Pond through the warm days of summer are in the 70's, and the night is somewhat chillier of course, mostly in the 50's. During the winter the highs are ordinarily in the 20's with temperatures at Great Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
Great Pond is not far at all
