Do stop by Great Pond while you're in this part of Massachusetts. Hiking along the Red Maple Swamp Trail is tremendous fun, and the landscape is dominated by the Eastham Dunes. A tremendous nearby hotel is Four Points By Sheraton Eastham Cape Cod; why not a little side trip to Boat Meadow River. along the Fort Hill Trail; don't miss out on a glorious swamp; Boat Meadow Bog is right here at Great Pond. All the water falling down from the sky makes Great Pond a wet site; during the month of November you get the most rain around
here while July is generally the driest month. All through the long summer days, highs frequently are in the 70's at Great Pond with nighttime lows in the 60's. For the period of the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and after
the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures at Great Pond sink into the 20's.
After a long day outdoors Captain's Quartesr Motel And Conference is a perfect location to spend a night or two. Time spent at Kingsbury Beach
right next door to Great Pond is always glorious, and you'll meet a lot of folks from Barnstable Town here. So much cool stuff to do here at Great Pond, too fine to be true. The peak of Eastham Dunes can be observed from Great Pond, and do explore Cedar Pond, it's a delightful lake.
