Head up to Wachusett Mountain and strap some skis to your feet; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Souhegan River. While you're here at Graves Pond, you could also stop by pretty Bixby Reservoir; Four Points By Sheraton Leominster is a nice place to get some rest. November, that's the one that rains the most; September meanwhile is the driest month. For the duration of the summer months at Graves Pond highs are generally in the 70's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. The cold
days of the winter come with highs in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Graves Pond are in the 10's. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Graves Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Graves Pond; Old Country

Locust Pond
 | 19 miles away 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
