    If you are in this part of Massachusetts make sure to pay a visit to Granville Reservoir. For the duration of the months of summer, highs frequently are in the 80's at Granville Reservoir, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's while Granville Reservoir overnight low temperatures during the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Nearby The Gorge is a perfect location to go if you're at Granville Reservoir;  
   going for a hike along the Richard Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Granville Reservoir, you could also pop by picturesque Cooley Lake, also Granville Reservoir Dam is worth taking a look at if you're here.
There's so much to do here at Granville Reservoir that you need to camp here for a while, Wilderness Experience Unlimtd is a delightful place for that, and do take a hike on the County
 
               Road Trail. This lake is so wonderful. If you're visiting Granville Reservoir from Springfield, you won't be the only one; swing by Dickinson Brook it's a delightful site to go to.
There are some great whitewater spots on Westfield River, and one of the overriding features of the surroundings of Granville Reservoir is Bad Luck Mountain. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Little River, and skiing at Blandford is one of those things you just must do. If only every site had this much outdoors fun stuff, what a great planet it would be. You'll stumble on a gorgeous lake called Winchell Reservoir near Granville Reservoir, and you can hit the beach if you want, Babbs Beach is practically right here.
A splendid close by hotel is Elm Motel, and golf can be played at Southwick Country Club. And if that's not sufficient, there's heaps more to do in close proximity to Granville Reservoir. After a long day outdoors Dutch Iris Inn, The is a splendid location to spend a night or two. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Granville Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Prospect Mountain Campground. Granville Reservoir gets a lot of water; August is when you get the most rain here, and the driest month is January.
You can never get enough of the nice skiing at Ski Sundown; hiking along the Link Trail is splendid fun.
