Massachusetts has many beautiful lakes and Granny Pond is one of them. Why not camp at Camp Micah since you're here at Granny Pond, and after a long day outdoors Staybridge Suites Boston-Burlington, Ma is a good site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Camp Cedar is a nice local campground; in the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Charles River. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this site.
Not far from Granny Pond, you'll come across Butterfield Pond which is a delightful lake, and if you're interested in hydro structures, you can visit Lexington Reservoir Dam.
Granny Pond frequently gets a good deal of rain; during the month of November you get the most rain around here, and the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful. Hilton Garden Inn Boston/Burlington is a fine location to get some rest, and a forest nearby is Willard

Woods. Whitewater paddling is splendid on Concord River; during your trip here you'll meet some people from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy for sure.
All our national parks are glorious locations to visit, and Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is no exception; swamps like Chandler Swamp are fun to pop by. Very pretty scenery and splendid skiing is what you get at Bradford, and at Granny Pond you can make out Bannon Hill. Now, you may assume that's loads but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Granny Pond. There are other spots here than Granny Pond, for example Lexington Reservoir; a round of golf at nearby Lexington Golf Club is a perfect way to kill some time.
Long Meadow Brook is a great local stream. What would winter be without some skiing at Blue Hills, and Parker Meadow is a tremendous place. High temperatures at Granny Pond throughout the summertime months are in the 80's. Throughout the moonlight hours it's mostly in the 60's. For the duration of the wintertime the highs are mostly in the 30's; night lows in the 10's for Granny Pond.

Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats....
