Gore Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. A beautiful lake like Anthony Pond in close proximity to Gore Pond is a delightful place to explore, and if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Cheshire Harbor Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Gore Pond there are plenty of folks from Pittsfield; you can never get enough of the pleasant skiing at Mount Greylock Ski Club. Travelodge is a nice choice. Gore Pond is tremendous enough to spend more than a day at, Hidden Valley Campgrounds is a tremendous local campground, and the Thunderbolt Ski Trail is a wonderful hiking trail nearby. A glorious spot
to camp here at Gore Pond is Fernwood Forest Campground, and Egypt Reservoir Dam is a pretty site, certainly worth checking out.
The amount of rain that falls at Gore Pond is close to the national average; all through August this
area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Gore Pond. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Gore Pond.
