paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Little River. Do schedule some time to take a look at Conn Cove next to Goose Pond if you have a chance; if you come at the right time of year, Farmington River
offers some perfect whitewater. If you came for an overnight stay Southwick Acres Campground is a great place to camp, and perfect water scenery is available at Congamond Lakes South Dike in the vicinity of Goose Pond. Blandford
has great slopes and a friendly staff; the Richard Trail offers hiking at its best. Hit the slopes at Ski Sundown close at hand, and nearby you discover magnificent spots like The Notch. During the warm days of summer at Goose Pond
temperatures are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures descend down into the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Goose Pond.
