The beauty of Goose Pond is reason enough to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. A nice nearby hotel is Lee Super 8 Motel; playing golf is lots of fun at Greenock Country Club. The high level of rainfall makes Goose Pond a rather wet place; the wettest month of the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month is February. At Goose Pond you can make out Baldy Mountain, and there are wonderful locations to discover along the

| | Turner Trail. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - West Branch; skiing at Catamount is one of those things you just have to do. Life's too short to enjoy all the exciting stuff near Goose Pond. Camping at Maple Glade Campground is always a tremendous experience; pleasant skiing awaits you at Bousquet. After a long day outdoors Pilgrim Inn is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and going for a hike on the Wild Cat Trail is always a great adventure. Through the summertime at Goose Pond highs are typically in the 80's. Summer
nighttime lows fall down to the 50's. All through the winter highs are mostly in the 30's; night lows throughout the winter for Goose Pond tend to be in the 10's. Drift down the rapids of Konkapot Brook in a kayak, and you'll
meet a lot of folks from Pittsfield here. A glorious location to camp here at Goose Pond is Mountain View Campground; don't leave Goose Pond without first going for a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail.
