Hit the slopes at Ski Butternut in close proximity; during your spree here you'll meet some people from Pittsfield for sure. A charming lake like Juniper Pond close to Gleason Pond is a great spot to stop by, and Gleason Pond is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Camp Half Moon is a glorious local campground. Guilder Hollow is a fine spot to visit nearby, and Gleason Pond Dam is a striking spot. There's good hiking along the Elbow Trail; do go to

| | Lake Buel, it's a stunning lake. All the water falling down from the sky makes Gleason Pond a wet site; all through August this area sees the most rain, and February is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. The Indian Trail offers hiking at its best, and Konkapot Brook has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Gleason Pond without first going for a hike along the Wild Cat Trail, and camping | |
