Do stop by Gilder Pond while you're in this part of Massachusetts. Gilder Pond is not far at all from Pittsfield; Becket Motel is a wonderful site to get some rest. Gilder Pond mostly gets a large amount of precipitation; most of the rain falls all through August while February is generally the driest month. If you need a place to stay Knox Trail Inn is a good choice, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Fall River.

| | Pond you discover the Turner Trail which is a great hiking trail, and camping at Camp Overflow is always a great experience. This lake is so wonderful. The Berkshire Hills here at Gilder Pond makes the scenery here great, and if you've had enough of Gilder Pond, Abbey Lake is nearby. Camping is available at Cold Spring Campground, and on a tremendous day you can take a hike along the Wild Cat Trail.

rules! Catamount has magnificent slopes and a friendly staff, and Gilder Pond Dam is a beautiful site, positively worth visiting. There is a delightful hiking trail next to Gilder Pond called the Elbow Trail, and great skiing awaits
you at Ski Butternut. All the outdoors fun stuff near Gilder Pond will keep you coming back time and again. Get drenched paddling on Farmington River - West Branch.
All through the warm days of summer at Gilder Pond temperatures
are commonly in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Gilder Pond dip into the 10's. Swamps like Abbey Swamp are fun to pop by, and the summit of Abbey Hill can be observed from Gilder Pond.
