A visit to Garretts Pond is always a good idea. The high level of rainfall makes Garretts Pond a quite wet place; of all the months in a year November is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is July. This lake is so wonderful. Spend the day on the beach at Sandy Neck Beach while you're here at Garretts Pond, and you're sure to come across some good folks from Barnstable Town here. If you need a place to stay Cape Winds Resort (Vri) is a glorious choice, and a good place to camp here at Garretts Pond is Otis Trailer Village John's Pond Campgro. Clay Hill is painless to spot from Garretts Pond, and some close by water includes Brickyard Creek. | |

to spend more than a day at, Yarmouth Campgrounds is a perfect local campground, and Cape Cod National Seashore is a delightful local destination. Dry warm beds await you at Comfort Inn Hyannis; why not take a look at Calves Pasture
Point also while you're here. High temperatures at Garretts Pond throughout the warm days of summer are in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 60's. The winter comes with highs in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Garretts Pond temperatures fall to the 10's.

 | 18 miles away It's a cool campground to go to but if you like to stay out late stay away because they come around at like ten and make everyone go bad to their own camp sites and you can't stay at that play ground. And if you don't go back to your campsite when they make their second rounds the rangers chase you on golf carts. Which is pretty fun because you have to out run them. But everything else is pretty chill.... |
