Why not stop by Garnet Lake if you're passing through these parts. A wooded neighborhood in the vicinity of Garnet Lake is Peru State Forest; if you're here you will meet lots of people from close by Pittsfield. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Garnet Lake. Don't forget to take a great little visit to Geer Brook, and Garnet Lake is a delightful location to visit for more than one day, Summit Hill Campground is a delightful location to camp nearby.

| | This lake is so wonderful. The slopes of Otis Ridge are so inviting noone can resist, and there's whitewater on Walker Brook for all you adrenaline rush seekers.
Going for a hike on the Cheshire Harbor Trail is always a tremendous adventure. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Garnet Lake has to offer, you can camp at Camp Taconic. ordinarily in the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are usually in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Garnet Lake. Everybody nearby loves skiing at Berkshire East; close by you hit upon the Busby Trail which
is a perfect hiking trail.
Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Westfield River - West Branch, and you can go for a hike on the Thunderbolt Ski Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm
beds await you at Pittsfield Travelodge, and the panorama of French Hill is delightful. Be careful coming to Garnet Lake, you might not ever wanna return back home again.

Massachusetts is a magnificent choice, and if you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Bass Ridge Country Club is close at hand. Garnet Lake gets a good deal of water; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
