For you golfers we recommend close by Amherst Golf Club. There's so much to do here at Forge Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Partridge Hollow Campground is a pleasant spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn & Suites is a tremendous choice, and some close by water includes Turkey Hill Brook. Summertime highs at Forge Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's while night lows       are commonly in the 50's. Through the wintertime the highs are regularly in the 20's with temperatures at Forge Pond dipping down into the 10's during winter nights. From Forge Pond you acquire a good view of Bagg Hill, and you can run the rapids of Connecticut River. Forge Pond is a rather wet place commonly with a lot of rainfall; November is when you get the most rain here, and January on the other hand is the driest. Pine Ridge is a very popular ski                  area in the neighborhood; a great location for whitewater paddling is Quaboag River. This is a popular spot for people from Springfield, and Forge Pond Dam is an interesting thing to check out. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this spot. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Forge Pond has to offer, you can camp at Rainbow Motel, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Inn Express Amherst.
