Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Quaboag River, and lots of folks from Willimantic come here. If you adore the outdoors, you'll fancy Fish Pond. If you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Hemlock Ridge Golf Course is nearby, and if you need a site to stay Super 8 Motel       - Sturbridge is a nice choice. The snow is splendid at Pine Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. Get your heart beating on the good whitewater of Natchaug River; there are other places here than Fish Pond, for example Cedar Pond. Walker Pond is a delightful lake in the vicinity of Fish Pond, and the scenery at Fish Pond Dam C is picturesque. Summer at Fish Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop                  down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Fish Pond. The high level of precipitation makes Fish Pond a rather wet site; most of the rain falls throughout November, and the driest month is February. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Fish Pond has to offer, you can camp at Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park; obviously, all our national parks are good places to visit and Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is no exception. This lake is so wonderful.
