Go to First Pond if you want to go to a nice lake. You're perhaps hooked on lakes, Long Pond is one of those nearby; you can spend the day on the beach at Revere Beach. Camping at Lorraine Park Campground is always a great experience, and not far from First Pond you acquire some splendid water scenery at Griswold Pond Dam. Lots of rain falls at First Pond; November is the wettest month with most rain, and August is when it's the driest. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Blue Hills, and one of the best things about this place is its proximity to Orient Heights Beach. to offer. Lakes are great; Stevens Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of First Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Charles River.
This lake is so wonderful. Hit the slopes at
Bradford in the neighborhood, and Candle Hill can be spotted from First Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Bennetts Pond Brook is a good location to stop at; close to First Pond you find a golf course called Bellevue Golf Club.
Dry warm beds await you at Courtyard By Marriott Boston/Revere, and Richs Meadow Swamp is a swamp in close proximity to First Pond. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to First Pond while overnight lows are generally in the 60's.
During the winter the highs are usually in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at First Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. The friendly folks of Boston-Cambridge-Quincy like to hang out nearby, and First Pond is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, Prospect Lake Park is a perfect local campground.
