Any time is a glorious time at Excalibur Lake if you have a thing about the outdoors. The snow is fine at Otis Ridge, and you can stay the night at Camp Overflow. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Blandford is near Excalibur Lake, and there's a good forest called Becket State Forest. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Excalibur Lake, you could also pop by close by Watson Pond,       and the scenery at Robin Hood Lake Dam is wonderful. There's just no way someone can get bored here at Excalibur Lake. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Westfield River - West Branch, and hiking along the County Road Trail is delightful fun. The high level of precipitation makes Excalibur Lake a reasonably wet location; most of the rain falls all through August; January meanwhile is the driest month. Nottingham                  Lake is a nearby lake that you could take a look at, and the Richard Trail offers hiking at its best. Summertime at Excalibur Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it dips down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows during the wintertime for Excalibur Lake tend to be in the 10's. If you come at the right time of year, Farmington River - West Branch offers some magnificent whitewater, and J and D Marina is a tremendous campground nearby. Excalibur Lake is not far at all from Pittsfield, and after a long day outdoors Pilgrim Inn is a nice place to spend a night or two. Lee Super 8 Motel is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and Cherry Hill is simple to spot from Excalibur Lake. This lake is so wonderful.
