Blandford is a perfect local ski area; Lee Super 8 Motel is a delightful site to get some rest. There are splendid spots to discover along the Richard Trail, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Farmington River - West Branch. There's just no way anyone can get bored here at Excalibur Lake. At Excalibur Lake you can see Cherry Hill. Any time is a great time at Excalibur Lake if you fancy       the outdoors. Don't leave Excalibur Lake without first going for a hike along the County Road Trail, and Otis Reservoir is a nearby lake that you could stop by. A forest close to Excalibur Lake is Becket State Forest, and the friendly people of Pittsfield like to hang out nearby. Go for a hike on the Spring Trail, and there's always Robin Hood Lake Dam to explore in the neighborhood of Excalibur Lake. This lake is so wonderful. The skiing at Otis Ridge is great,                  and some close by water includes Hamilton Brook. There are some great whitewater spots on Westfield River - West Branch, and why not camp at Camp Overflow if you're here at Excalibur Lake. For the period of the days of summer at Excalibur Lake highs are frequently in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 30's with temperatures at Excalibur Lake dipping down into the 10's throughout winter nights. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Pilgrim Inn, and a great site to camp here at Excalibur Lake is J and D Marina.
