A quick trip to Gates Brook close to Edwards Pond is a splendid idea; lots of people from Worcester come here. During the warm days of summer, highs ordinarily are in the 70's at Edwards Pond. Throughout the dark hours of summer temperatures sink down into the 50's. During the wintertime highs are generally in the 30's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Edwards Pond temperatures descend to the 0's.       Edwards Pond regularly gets a lot of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is September. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Edwards Pond has to offer, you can camp at Pout and Trout Family Campground, and do stop at Carrolls Pond, it's a striking lake. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Pine Ridge, and Assabet                  River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. Lily Ponds is a nearby lake that you could visit; great skiing awaits you at Wachusett Mountain. Don't forget to go to Gates Cove since you're here at Edwards Pond. Edwards Pond is a fine location to visit for more than one day, Mass Health & Fitness is a fine location to camp nearby, and for you golfers we recommend close by Wachusett Country Club. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Emerald Towers, and a day at charming Sterling Town Beach in close proximity to Edwards Pond is a nice thing to do. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area in the vicinity of Edwards Pond has to offer.
