Echo Lake is a place with many visitors from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy, and close to Echo Lake you find a golf course called Royal Crest Country Club. Echo Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; throughout November       this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is June. On a fine day you can stop at Reserve Pond, a swamp close to Echo Lake; a lake nearby is Chickering Lake. Having a great time at Echo Lake is painless. Throughout the summertime months at Echo Lake highs are typically in the 80's; the nighttime is a bit colder of course, ordinarily in the 60's. The winter brings highs down to the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Echo Lake plunge into the 10's. Here at Echo Lake you can see Castle Hill; in the event that you don't mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Assabet River. This lake is so wonderful.
