This lake is so wonderful. You don't should go far from East Indies Pond to enjoy Cookson State Forest; a brilliant nearby hotel is Best Value Inn-Lee. This is a popular place for people from Torrington, and close
by you hit upon the Elbow Trail which is a glorious hiking trail. There is a fine hiking trail near East Indies Pond called the Wild Cat Trail, and Windemere Lake Dam is a location that is right next door to East Indies Pond.
This lake is so wonderful. East Indies Pond is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Spring Campground is a fine local campground, and Cherry Brook is in the vicinity of East Indies Pond and is always a delight to visit. Farmington
River - West Branch is a good whitewater spot next to East Indies Pond, and a lake nearby is Wood Creek Pond.
