If you are traveling by, why not stop by Dunlap Pond. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Dunlap Pond; Link Trail is a glorious local trail, and what would winter be without some skiing at Blandford. Don't leave Dunlap Pond without first going for a hike along the Richard Trail, and you can stay the night at Laurel Ridge Camping Area. This lake is so wonderful. Elm Motel is a pleasant site to get some rest. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Dunlap Pond has to offer, you can camp at Prospect Mountain Campground. And if that's not enough, there's lots more to do near Dunlap Pond. since you're here at Dunlap Pond, and scenic scenery and nice skiing is what you get at Otis Ridge.
Birch Hill is striking and can be distinguished from Dunlap Pond, and great hiking is available along the County Road Trail. Summertime
brings highs in the 80's to Dunlap Pond, and the night is fairly cooler of course, mostly in the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are generally in the 30's, and night lows at Dunlap Pond during the winter typically sink into
the 10's.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD is a delightful place to spend a night or two; get dripping wet paddling on Westfield River.
