If you are in Hampden county it's always a good idea to stop by Dunlap Pond. Not sufficient hours in a day to enjoy this location. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 80's to Dunlap Pond. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and nighttime lows throughout the winter for Dunlap Pond tend to be in the 10's. Dunlap Pond sees pretty high levels of rain; August

If you come at the right time of year, Westfield River - West Branch offers some nice whitewater; you can have a splendid hiking adventure along the Link Trail. Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD is a great location to spend a night or two, and you'll locate a pretty lake called Cochran Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Do pop by Dunlap Pond Dam if you're here at Dunlap Pond, and hiking along the
County Road Trail is nice fun. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more fun stuff to do here at Dunlap Pond. If the weather is delightful, you get a fine view of Birch Hill from Dunlap Pond. There's so much to do here
at Dunlap Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Laurel Ridge Camping Area is a brilliant place for that. Elm Motel is a great spot to get some rest, and Dunlap Pond is right by the Richard Trail. Get yourself into a kayak
and hit Westfield River, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Otis Ridge. Some close by water includes Birch Meadow Brook; Blandford is a very popular ski area around here.
