Doane Falls is a pretty spot to visit while you're at Duck Pond, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Pine Ridge. This lake is so wonderful. Newton Reservoir Dam is a place that is near Duck Pond, and if you like swamps you're in luck, Paine Swamp is right nearby.

in the 50's. Through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's, and night lows throughout the winter for Duck Pond tend to be in the 0's. There's whitewater on Millers River for all you adrenaline rush seekers, and don't forget to take a good little journey to Buckman Brook.
