A golf course near Doughnut Pond is Sandwich Hollows Golf Club; since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by close by Shawme Lake. Throughout the warm months at Doughnut Pond highs are generally in the 80's. Summer overnight lows fall down to the 60's. Dunroamin' Trailer Park is a great local campground, and East Boat Basin is not far at all from Doughnut Pond. So much enjoyable stuff to do at Doughnut Pond, so little time. This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Doughnut Pond you find Cemetery Point; a pleasant beach close by is Springhill Brook.

that is worth checking out, and there are plenty of people from Barnstable Town here at Doughnut Pond. Just can't get enough of Doughnut Pond. Elephantback Hill is a peak you can catch a sight of from Doughnut Pond, and if you need
a place to stay Dan'l Webster Inn is a glorious choice. This lake is so wonderful. Belfry Inn is a splendid place to get some rest, and Dexter Bog is an exciting swamp in the neighborhood of Doughnut Pond.
This is a fine region
for people who like lakes. Upper Shawme Lake is a lake in the vicinity, and Town Beach is a beach nearby that you can stop by. Peters Pond Park is a tremendous campground nearby, and if you're looking for a good spree, Cape Cod National Seashore is quite near.

 | It's a cool campground to go to but if you like to stay out late stay away because they come around at like ten and make everyone go bad to their own camp sites and you can't stay at that play ground. And if you don't go back to your campsite when they make their second rounds the rangers chase you on golf carts. Which is pretty fun because you have to out run them. But everything else is pretty chill.... |

I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |

Ellis Haven was my summer vacation every year from 1957 to 1967. I'm 58 years old now and my best memories are of Ellis Haven. Looks like it's still a beautiful place to take a vacation....I have been going to Ellis Haven for 50 years. It is definately one of my favorite campgrounds. It is very family oriented and extremely clean. The pond is fabulous for swimming and great for fishing too.... |
