You'll need more than a day to discover everything Degano Pond has to offer, you can camp at Prospect Mountain Campground, and Hubbard River has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by. A lake nearby is Cooley Lake, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Link Trail. That right there is heaps already, but it keeps on       going; Degano Pond has it all. There's some exciting stuff to see at Cooley Lake Dam in the vicinity of Degano Pond, and a day on the slopes of Ski Sundown is just what you need. Dry warm beds await you at Elm Motel. There's so much to do here at Degano Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Wilderness Experience Unlimtd is a good location for that. If you need a spot to stay Dutch Iris Inn, The is a good choice, and Sullivan Hollow is another great                  site to stop at close by. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t mind getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Little River, and why not have a look at close by Seymour Brook since you're here at Degano Pond. The high level of precipitation makes Degano Pond a rather wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and January is the month with the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the County Road Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity, and swamps are out of the ordinary spots and Shaughnessy Swamp next to Degano Pond is no exception. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. The snow is good at Blandford, and Degano Pond is not the only site close by, Granville Reservoir is a close by lake. Summertime highs at Degano Pond usually tend to be in the 80's while night lows are frequently in the 50's.
