What a nice lake Dean Pond is. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors cool things the area in close proximity to Dean Pond has to offer. Dean Pond is a good site to camp, Hidden Valley Campgrounds is a good site; the Cheshire Harbor Trail is a glorious hiking trail close by. There is a perfect hiking trail near Dean Pond called the Overlook Trail, and don't leave Dean Pond without first checking out Raven Rocks. And that's not all you can do here at Dean

| | Pond. Head up to Jiminy Peak and strap some skis to your feet, and on a good day you can take a hike along the Thunderbolt Ski Trail.
Some of the water close by flows, like Bassett Brook. Lakes are tremendous; Bassett Reservoir is a lake that's close to Dean Pond. From a precipitation point of view Dean Pond is a quite normal place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you're here at Dean Pond and you like golf, you can stop at Forest Park Country Club; Holiday Inn Berkshires, Ma is a pleasant location to get some rest. Since you're here at Dean
Pond why not stop by The Bellows Pipe, and if you need a spot to stay Dug Out Motel is a great choice. Camping at Dean Pond is good fun, Clarksburg State Park is a good local campground, and there are some glorious whitewater spots
on Dunbar Brook.
Mount Greylock Ski Club is a very popular ski area close by, and if you come at the right time of year, Green River offers some wonderful whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Dean Pond you can spot Cheshire
Harbor Hill; do visit Bassett Reservoir Dam since you're here. All through the summertime here at Dean Pond, high temperatures generally get into the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. The
cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Dean Pond dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
