Camping at Norwell Campsites is always a fine experience, and it's a brilliant idea to stop at Drinkwater River. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cohasset Tidal Rip; the scenery at Factory Pond Dam is beautiful. highlights of the surroundings of Cushing Pond is Beech Hill, and a lake close by is Forge Pond. For the duration of the long summer days at Cushing Pond highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's.
High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Cushing Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. Lots of rain falls at Cushing Pond; the wettest month of the year is commonly November,

Looks like it's still a beautiful place to take a vacation....I have been going to Ellis Haven for 50 years. It is definately one of my favorite campgrounds.  | 16 miles away I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |
