     Camping at Norwell Campsites is always a fine experience, and it's a brilliant idea to stop at Drinkwater River. If you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Cohasset Tidal Rip; the scenery at Factory Pond Dam is beautiful. You could also have a look at Wampatuck Pond while you're here at Cushing Pond; it's close by, and Blue Hills is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood. Comfort Inn Rockland is a  
   tremendous place to get some rest.
During your trip to Cushing Pond you'll meet some folks from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy for sure, and stopping by Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is just something you need to do if you haven't yet. You definitely should go for Cushing Pond. Golf can be played at Ridder Golf Course, and don't miss out on a great swamp; Bear Meadow is right here at Cushing Pond. This lake is so wonderful.                highlights of the surroundings of Cushing Pond is Beech Hill, and a lake close by is Forge Pond.
For the duration of the long summer days at Cushing Pond highs are mostly in the 80's. Summer night lows descend down to the 60's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Cushing Pond temperatures dip to the 10's. Lots of rain falls at Cushing Pond; the wettest month of the year is commonly November, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. This lake is so wonderful. If you came to camp Robins Pond Camp Ground is a great site to do that; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Rockland.

Ellis Haven was my summer vacation every year from 1957 to 1967. I'm 58 years old now and my best memories are of Ellis Haven. Looks like it's still a beautiful place to take a vacation....I have been going to Ellis Haven for 50 years. It is definately one of my favorite campgrounds. It is very family oriented and extremely clean. The pond is fabulous for swimming and great for fishing too....

I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out....
