Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Fall River; Royal Pond Dam is pretty. At Curtin Pond you always meet someone from Pittsfield; swamps like Geisler Swamp are fun to explore. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Curtin Pond. There are other sites here than Curtin Pond, for example Gilder Pond, and Camp Overflow is a splendid campground
here. Have a pleasant hiking adventure along the Wild Cat Trail; you can hit the slopes at Ski Butternut around here. On a good day at Curtin Pond you can take a hike along the Elbow Trail; you obtain a good vista of Berkshire Hills
from here.
Curtin Pond generally gets a large amount of rainfall; during August this area sees the most rain, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
