Not far from Curtin Pond you get some tremendous water scenery at Royal Pond Dam, and if you need a place to stay Super 8 Lee/Berkshires/Outlet Area is a good choice. Ski Butternut is a perfect local ski area, as expected you could also visit Royal Pond while you're here; it's not far at all. Curtin Pond is a rather wet place frequently with a good deal of rain; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is the month with

| | the least moisture. This lake is so wonderful. Paddling on Fall River is so much fun; a good close by hotel is Pilgrim Inn. Farmington River - West Branch has a fine whitewater paddling spot close by, and do take a hike on the Elbow Trail. This lake is so wonderful. place. Everybody close by loves skiing at Catamount; Curtin Pond lays in the shadow of the Berkshire Hills. For the period of the warm days of summer highs here at Curtin Pond get into the 80's. For the duration of the moonlight hours
it's commonly in the 50's. Through the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and after the sun is down through the winter temperatures at Curtin Pond descend into the 10's. At Curtin Pond you always meet someone from Pittsfield,
and if you've had enough of Curtin Pond, Hayes Pond is nearby. Stay the night at Camp Overflow, and the Wild Cat Trail offers hiking at its best. Man, is there loads of fun stuff to do near Curtin Pond. From Curtin Pond you get a delightful view of Berkshire Hills; Curtin Pond is right by the Turner Trail.
