    If you are in this part of Massachusetts make sure to pay a visit to Crystal Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Gardner Super 8 Motel; some close by water includes Baker Brook. Very magnificent water scenery is available at Crystal Lake Dike near Crystal Lake, and Beaman Hill is uncomplicated to spot from Crystal Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Crystal Lake is a fine spot to visit for more than one day, Howe's Camping is a fine spot  
   to camp nearby, and do take a hike on the White Dot Trail.
Summertime at Crystal Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Crystal Lake. That right there is lots already, but it carries on; Crystal Lake has it all. Really delightful skiing awaits you at Pine Ridge, and Crystal Lake is right by the Parker
 
               Trail. All the water falling down from the sky makes Crystal Lake a wet site; through August this area sees the most rain, and February on the other hand is the driest.
Whitewater paddling is fine on Millers River; the Harling Trail offers hiking at its best. Lakes are nice; Travers Pond is a lake that's in the vicinity of Crystal Lake, and since you're here and you like golf, you can pop by Gardner Municipal Golf Course. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing at Wachusett Mountain, and Peaceful Pines is a great campground nearby.
You're in all probability keen on lakes, Shiner Pond is one of those nearby, and if you need a place to stay Colonial Hotel is a nice choice. This is no place for people who don’t like to have fun. Get wet paddling on Contoocook River, and during your tour here you'll meet some people from Worcester for sure.

This Lake with little public access. Forget about using a motor boat. A canoe/kayak maybe. Fishing may be ok, but don't keep/eat what you catch. MA has serious mercury warnings posted....

Great place, everything you need for a fun time. We camped in tents, electricity and water at sights that were roomy enough for tent and screen house. Canoe rentals, rod rental and bait, beach and a pool, good hiking trails ( with wild bluberries and blackberries). Most important clean bathrooms nothing worse than a camp ground with crappy facilities (forgive the pun)..Ben a couple of times great place!!...

Rode it today.... lost 5 canoes on it as it rained last night and transformed into Class IV rapids.... Luckily we rescued 1 canoe and all 12 people got safely off of the river....

Heywood Reservoir

Ahhh good ol Heywood's used to be a great lake for swimming with rope swings that threw you out 80 feet into the water. but since then many things have changed people caught on to the fun nites out there , and police started showing up and now the whole place ''all the trees'' have been cut down  above the apple orchard, so no swimming there or you will be hit with a fine of up to 500$...

Stiles Resevoir is man made and just over 400 acres. Fishing includes Small & Large Mouth Bass as well as yellow and white perch, blue gills & Calico Bass. Average depth of about 10 feet with some spots over 15 ft. Mostly year round homes with some of the old summer cottages still being used. The resevoir covers area in both Spencer & Leicester....

At this point in time and for the last decade or so the earthin dam next to the concreat dam has been breeched. This has resulted in a lower water leval leaving the infeed end of the pond a swamp. This could be and once was a wondeful place Please help us save it Please fix the earthin Dam. Patch Pond is between Patch reservour and Cose reservour. This Pond cannot be seen from Mill Street the Pond on Mill Street is Patch Res....
