This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is wonderful on Chickley River; needless to say Brown Brook flows through this region. The Busby Trail is a brilliant hiking trail in the neighborhood of Crooked Pond, and if you came to camp Peppermint Park Camping Resort is a good place to do that. From a rainfall point of view Crooked Pond is a relatively normal place; August is the month that gets the most rain; February on       the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Crooked Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Shady Pines Campground is a delightful location for that, and an exciting thing to have a look at in the vicinity of Crooked Pond is Crooked Pond Dam. High temperatures at Crooked Pond through the warm days of summer are in the 70's; through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs                  in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Crooked Pond are in the 10's. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Greylock Ski Club while you're here. Near Crooked Pond you locate the Thunderbolt Ski Trail which is a magnificent hiking trail, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Berkshires, Ma is a good place to spend a night or two. Any time is a pleasant time at Crooked Pond if you go for the outdoors. Dry warm beds await you at Porches, and on a wonderful day you can take a hike along the Dunbar Brook Trail. What would winter be without some skiing at Berkshire East, and Westfield River - North Branch has a pleasant whitewater paddling spot close by.
