Take a little trip to Baldwin Brook while you're here at Crane Lake, and going for a hike along the Taconic Skyline Trail will                  let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. This lake is so wonderful. You're sure to encounter some wonderful people from Pittsfield here, and Stockbridge Country Inn is a glorious spot to get some rest. On a magnificent day at Crane Lake you can take a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, and there's whitewater on Konkapot Brook for all you adrenaline people. Bousquet is a very popular ski area around here, and do stop by Shaker Mill Pond Dam if you're here. Summer at Crane Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 60's.
