Do stop by Crane Brook Reservoir while you're in this part of Massachusetts. This lake is so wonderful. While you're here at Crane Brook Reservoir you can play some golf at Southers Marsh Golf Club, and do visit Sampson Brook while you're here at Crane Brook Reservoir. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this spot. Whitewater paddling is nice on Cohasset Tidal Rip, and a nice nearby hotel is Best Western Cold Spring.

| | swamp right next door to Crane Brook Reservoir is Cedar Swamp. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Crane Brook Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Ellis Haven Family Campground. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn Plymouth is a nice choice, and Pratt Pond is a good lake nearby. There are other places here than Crane Brook Reservoir, for example Crane Brook Bog Reservoir; you can stay the night at Shady Acres.

Brook Reservoir do take a look at nearby Stephens Field Beach, and you don’t have to go far from Crane Brook Reservoir to make out the water at Mayflower Road Dam. Crane Brook Reservoir is a pretty wet place regularly with a lot of
precipitation; through November this area sees the most rain, and June is the month with the least moisture. For the period of the summer, highs typically are in the 80's at Crane Brook Reservoir. Once the sun is down it sinks down
to the 60's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's; nighttime lows at Crane Brook Reservoir all through the wintertime ordinarily dip into the 10's.

Ellis Haven Family Campground
 | Ellis Haven was my summer vacation every year from 1957 to 1967. I'm 58 years old now and my best memories are of Ellis Haven. Looks like it's still a beautiful place to take a vacation....I have been going to Ellis Haven for 50 years. It is definately one of my favorite campgrounds. It is very family oriented and extremely clean. The pond is fabulous for swimming and great for fishing too.... |

 | I was interested in a rental on Widgeon Pond. I stayed there many years ago and loved it....I have a cottage on Widgeon Pond. Nice, quiet and relaxing pond with reasonable fishing. Swimming is nice but sometimes the water is really high, almost to the extent where there is no beach at all. Some people have small parties or gatherings, but there aren't any loud parties. Very calming place to chill out.... |

Sandy Pond Campground
| It's a cool campground to go to but if you like to stay out late stay away because they come around at like ten and make everyone go bad to their own camp sites and you can't stay at that play ground. And if you don't go back to your campsite when they make their second rounds the rangers chase you on golf carts. Which is pretty fun because you have to out run them. But everything else is pretty chill.... |
