Camping is available at Barton Cove Campground, and do take some time to stop by Mount Toby State Forest while you're here. Cranberry Pond is a wet site that gets a lot of rainfall; through the month of November you get the most rain around here; February on the other hand is the driest. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cranberry Pond; Sunrise Trail is a splendid local trail; Cranberry       Pond Dam is a beautiful place. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Sunset Trail, and the summit of Harvey Hill can be seen from Cranberry Pond. At Cranberry Pond during the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's while night lows are ordinarily in the 50's. Daytime highs all through the winter are in the 20's; through the dark hours in the winter at Cranberry Pond temperatures dip to the 0's. Goddard Brook flows through this neighborhood; there's whitewater on Millers River - Lower for all you adrenaline people.
