Summertime at Cook Pond comes with high temperatures in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. Throughout the winter the highs are regularly in the 30's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Cook Pond temperatures plunge to the 0's. While you're here at Cook Pond you will meet lots of people from nearby Worcester. You can run the rapids of Contoocook River in       close proximity to Cook Pond; hiking along the White Dot Trail is tremendous fun. Why not go to Partridgeville Pond Dam while you're here, and do take a hike on the Harling Trail. You assume that's sufficient? Just getting warmed up. Everybody close by loves skiing at Wachusett Mountain; you can have a great hiking adventure along the Red Cross Trail. Greenwood Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and the skiing at Pine Ridge is glorious. This lake                  is so wonderful. While you're here at Cook Pond, you could also have a look at beautiful Partridgeville Pond, and Cook Pond is delightful enough to spend more than a day at, Lamb City Campground & Variety is a delightful local campground. The peak of Burnshirt Hills can be distinguished from Cook Pond; for you golfers we recommend nearby Templewood Golf Course. You truly have to love Cook Pond. Gardner Super 8 Motel is a magnificent spot to get some rest, and close by you'll discover a wooded neighborhood called Hubbardston State Forest. Get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Millers River; dry warm beds await you at Colonial Hotel. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Cook Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Peaceful Pines is a nice site for that, and a range like the Burnshirt Hills is always delightful.
