After a long day outdoors Super 8 Gardner is a splendid location to spend a night or two; Cook Pond is not far at all from Worcester. Summertime highs at Cook Pond frequently tend to be in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are regularly in the 30's while the cold winter nights at Cook Pond are in the 0's. | | Red Cross Trail offers hiking at its best; dry warm beds await you at Colonial Hotel. You can take a little visit to Partridgeville Pond Dam while you're here at Cook Pond, and Cook Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Peaceful Pines is a great local campground. Cook Pond you could also pop by nearby Greenwood Pond. This lake is so wonderful. The top of Burnshirt Hills is easily made out from Cook Pond, and a magnificent location to camp here at Cook Pond is Lamb City Campground & Variety.
Cook Pond really is in the middle of a gorgeous outdoors paradise. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Cook Pond; White Dot Trail is a tremendous local trail, and the skiing at Wachusett Mountain is great. There's perfect hiking
along the Harling Trail; if you like skiing, you're in luck; Pine Ridge is relatively near. Cook Pond gets much water; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month of the year is February. This lake is so wonderful.
The summits of the Burnshirt Hills add much beauty to the area around Cook Pond, and Templewood Golf Course is a good golf course nearby.
