There's so much to do here at Cook Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sutton Falls Camping Area is a glorious place for that. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Cook Pond. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's while Cook Pond overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are       in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Ross Trail; a short spree to The Cascade is always worthwhile. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Cook Pond has to offer, you can camp at Wood Lot Campground; do have a look at Smith Pond, it's a charming lake. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in close proximity to Cook Pond. Courtyard Worcester is a great place to get some rest, and if you're looking for a magnificent                  trip, Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor is pretty near. The snow is glorious at Wachusett Mountain, and lots of people from Worcester come here. There are perfect sites to discover along the Munyan Trail; a day on the slopes of Pine Ridge is just what you need. There's always Cook Pond Dam to check out close to Cook Pond; since you're here, you could also visit lovely Holden Reservoir Number Two. Cook Pond usually gets a lot of rain; May is when you get the most rain here while February is regularly the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Cook Pond without first going for a hike along the Border Trail, and it's a perfect idea to go to Silver Spring Brook. You believe that's enough? Just getting warmed up.
