    If you are in this part of Massachusetts make sure to pay a visit to Concord River Reservoir. A good nearby hotel is Doubletree Hotel Lowell, and a round of golf at nearby Trull Brook Golf Course is a fine way to kill some time. Lakes are such serene sites, why not stop by Lower Pawtucket Canal Reservoir near Concord River Reservoir, and Assabet River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot nearby. Summertime highs at Concord River Reservoir usually tend to be  
   in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for Concord River Reservoir.
And that's not all you can do here at Concord River Reservoir. A pretty lake like Beaver Brook Reservoir in the neighborhood of Concord River Reservoir is a tremendous place to pop by, and if you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Concord River. This
 
               lake is so wonderful. Very pretty scenery and good skiing is what you get at McIntyre; the summit of Christian Hill can be seen from Concord River Reservoir. Tyngsboro Campground is a great local campground; there are plenty of people from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy here.
This lake is so wonderful. Why not explore Middlesex Dam while you're here, and Courtyard By Marriott Lowell is a tremendous spot to get some rest. That right there is loads already, but it continues; Concord River Reservoir has it all. An average amount of rain falls at Concord River Reservoir; November is the wettest month with most rain; February is when it's the driest.
A quick spree to Beaver Brook near Concord River Reservoir is a tremendous idea, and the beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Pawtucket Falls. What would winter be without some skiing at Bradford; why not camp at CDM if you're here at Concord River Reservoir.

Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats....
