Camping is available at CDM, and Content Brook is near College Pond and is always a bliss to stop by. Through the long summer days highs here at College Pond get into the 80's while overnight lows are ordinarily in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at College Pond. If only every site had this much outdoors enjoyable things, what a great planet it would be. A great close by hotel

If you're here at College Pond and you like golf, you can take a look at Lexington Golf Club, and from College Pond you acquire a great view of Wood Hill. camp. A brilliant location for whitewater paddling next to College Pond is Charles River, and Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area is a glorious local destination. This lake is so wonderful. You could also have a look
at Sawmill Pond if you're here at College Pond; it's nearby, and at College Pond you always meet someone from Boston-Cambridge-Quincy. Get your heart pumping on the splendid whitewater of Concord River, and College Pond is not the
only place close by, Mud Pond is a close by lake. A normal amount of rainfall falls here at College Pond; during November this area sees the most rain; February is the month with the least moisture.

Lake Cochichewick
 | 11 miles away Lake Cochichewick formerly known as Great Pond, is located near the inersections of rt 125 and Great Pond Road in North Andover MA. The lake is a little over 200 acres and long and narrow but widens quite a bit in the middle. The average depth near in the midde is about 40ft however the lake can reach depths of up to 60ft. The lake is a protected reservoir so fishing and boating are by town permit only. Swimming and gas moters are prohibited. Large and small mouth bass are in decent numbers as well as perch, pickerel, sunfish, also there is Northern Pike around but few have hooked up one in the summer season. Mercury level are fairly high so it is recomended to limit the consumption of fish to 1 meal a month. Most of the locals you will meet on the lake are all artificial bait, catch and release fisherman.... |

 | 17 miles away 1 PHOTO Locust Pond is a lake that was formed in 1954 by the creation of the Locust Pond Dam on Locust Brook, which flows from the Locust Pond to the larger Merrimack River. Locust Pond is considered a lake because Mass Regs (310 CMR 10.04) state that a lake is ?any open body of fresh water with a surface area of ten acres or more, and shall include great ponds. The site is bordered by Locust Avenue and light residential development to the northwest, and Route 3 to the southwest. The other half of the perimeter is bordered by dense development. The pond is mostly open water with no emergent marsh development. The upland is all forested. The habitat quality of this site is limited by the development surrounding it, however, it should provide at least transient habitat for aquatic mammals such as beaver, otter, and mink, and many of the upland mammals and migratory songbirds of forested habitats.... |
