Lakes? Sure, Rockwell Pond is in the neighborhood, and do take a hike on the Wapack Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Colburns Reservoir is right by the Mitchell Hill Road, and you can stay the night at Pine Campgrounds. All the water falling down from the sky makes Colburns Reservoir a wet spot; most       of the rain falls all through November; September meanwhile is the driest month. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Colburns Reservoir. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are generally in the 30's, and overnight lows at Colburns Reservoir through the wintertime regularly descend into the 10's. There are some good whitewater spots on Stony Brook; Bayberry Hill is simple to                  spot from Colburns Reservoir. This lake is so wonderful. Do pop by Rockwell Pond Dam since you're here at Colburns Reservoir, and swing by Baker Brook it's a brilliant place to go to.
