Really fine skiing awaits you at Wachusett Mountain; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Beaver Brook. On       a magnificent day at Coes Reservoir you can take a hike along the Ross Trail; Pine Ridge has great slopes and a friendly staff. Do pay a visit to Quinebaug & Shetucket Rivers Valley National Heritage Corridor since you're here at Coes Reservoir, and if you get bored of Coes Reservoir you could also pop by nearby Coes Pond.
