If you are in this part of Massachusetts make sure to pay a visit to Cochran Pond. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD, and whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then, we recommend Westfield River - West Branch. | | do around Cochran Pond; County Road Trail is a great local trail. There's whitewater on Westfield River for all you adrenaline people, and there's splendid hiking along the Richard Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. There's some flowing water nearby, Cold Brook is a stream you can go to during your stay; Laurel Ridge Camping Area is a great local campground. If you need a location to stay Elm Motel is a glorious choice; the skiing at Otis Ridge is nice. High | |

temperatures at Cochran Pond through the summertime are in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are typically in the 30's, and nighttime lows in the 10's for Cochran Pond.
On a wonderful day you
obtain a panorama of Dug Hill from Cochran Pond, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Blandford is quite near. All the water falling down from the sky makes Cochran Pond a wet place; August is the month that gets the most rain
while January is generally the driest month.
Beartown State Forest is a pleasant campground nearby, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Link Trail.
