The panorama of Dug Hill from Cochran Pond is gorgeous, and a splendid spot for whitewater paddling is Westfield       River. Do take a look at Dunlap Pond Dam since you're here at Cochran Pond, and you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Blandford while you're here. Hiking along the Link Trail is perfect fun, and a quick spree to Cold Brook is beyond doubt a delightful idea. This is a good neighborhood for people who like lakes. Huntington Reservoir is a lake in the vicinity, and after a long day outdoors Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites WESTFIELD is                  a wonderful spot to spend a night or two. Cochran Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Beartown State Forest is a pleasant local campground, and a perfect close by hotel is Elm Motel. For the period of the summer months at Cochran Pond temperatures are frequently in the 80's. When the night sets in temperatures fall down into the 50's. For the duration of the winter highs are regularly in the 30's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Cochran Pond fall into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Otis Ridge is one of those things you just have to do, and do take a hike on the County Road Trail. Having a wonderful time at Cochran Pond is uncomplicated. Cochran Pond gets a lot of water; August is the month that gets the most rain while January is frequently the driest month.
