Clapp Pond is always a pleasure to visit. Camping at Maple Glade Campground is always a nice experience, and you can go for a hike on the Turner Trail. Life's too short to enjoy all the amusing stuff near Clapp Pond. Clapp Pond ordinarily gets much rainfall; June is the wettest month with most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month.
Don't leave Clapp Pond without first going for a hike along the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, and almost certainly you're looking

| | for nearby lakes? Sure, Ashley Lake is just a very short distance away. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Konkapot Brook, and the snow is nice at Catamount. This lake is so wonderful. Clapp Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Bissellville Campground is a great local campground, and there's a forest here called October Mountain State Forest.

- West Branch. You think that's enough? Just getting warmed up. Near Clapp Pond you locate a golf course called Bass Ridge Country Club, and Clapp Pond is not far at all from Pittsfield. You could also go to Mud Pond since you're
here at Clapp Pond; it's nearby, and if you need a site to stay Pittsfield Travelodge is a fine choice.
Throughout the summer months, highs frequently are in the 70's at Clapp Pond, and during the night it cools down to the 50's.
Highs throughout the winter are typically in the 20's; nighttime lows at Clapp Pond through the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. A splendid close by hotel is Lee Super 8 Motel, and if you like skiing, you're in luck; Bousquet is reasonably near.
