     You can run the rapids of Konkapot Brook in the vicinity of Clapp Pond, and if you came to camp Maple Glade Campground is a pleasant spot to do that. Westfield River - West Branch is a brilliant whitewater spot close to Clapp Pond, and Bass Ridge Country Club is a golf course nearby. Catamount is a very popular ski area in the vicinity; dry warm beds await you at Travelodge Pittsfield. Clapp Pond sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of  
   the year is generally June, that's the one that rains the most; the driest of the months is February.
Summertime at Clapp Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's, and overnight lows during the winter for Clapp Pond tend to be in the 10's. This lake is so wonderful. There is a fine hiking trail near Clapp Pond called the Brickhouse Mountain Trail, and a wonderful
 
               lake like Sandwash Reservoir is a great place to stop by. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Lee/Berkshires/Outlet Area is a great choice. There's so much to do here at Clapp Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Bissellville Campground is a delightful site for that.
So much exciting stuff to do at Clapp Pond, so little time. Head up to Bousquet and strap some skis to your feet; October Mountain State Forest is worth stopping at. This location is excellent, just look at all the enjoyable stuff to do next to Clapp Pond. On a great day at Clapp Pond you can take a hike along the Turner Trail, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Wild Cat Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Mud Pond is a wonderful lake next to Clapp Pond, and if you're visiting from Pittsfield, you won't be the only one.
