Clapp Pond beyond doubt is in the middle of a beautiful outdoors paradise. Get soaked paddling on Konkapot Brook, and while you're here and you like golf, you can visit Bass Ridge Country Club. For the period of the warm months at Clapp Pond highs are ordinarily in the 70's. Summer night lows dip down to the 50's. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Clapp Pond; Wild Cat Trail is a
good local trail. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Bousquet is near Clapp Pond; if you came for an overnight stay Fernwood Forest Campground is a perfect site to camp. Clapp Pond is a pretty wet place frequently with a lot of rainfall;
through June this area sees the most rain, and February is when it's the driest.
There are other places here than Clapp Pond, for example Ashley Lake, and why not camp at Bissellville Campground if you're here at Clapp Pond.
